I think I’ve finally found what I want to do with my life.

I want to the be person who “takes care of” all those little, lonely pieces of ice cream cone deliciousness.  For some reason I find that video supa soothing and therapeutic.  Like yoga…but better because the room would smell like waffle cones.

And then I want to be the person who finds 18 cute mugs and makes every single one of these.  Then I’d have the photo shoot of all photo shoots.  It’d be fabulous.

Welp my vacation didn’t involve any waffle cones or mug cakes but it did involve plain ol’ ice cream.  Specifically the most delicious ice cream I have ever eaten. Toasty coconut.  Ahhmygosh.  And it involved this restaurant where you make your own pancakes.  And stuff them with chocolate chips and bananas and peanut butter and umm bacon.  Worth it.

Other vacation things worth noting include that after 5 days at a Hampton Inn in Jekyll Island, I think it is safe to say I have mastered the art of continental breakfast-ing.  1 scoop oatmeal topped with 2 spoonfuls granola + 1 spoonful dried cranberries with a side of eggs.  It’s perfect.  I was actually disappointed when I woke up at home the first day after vacation and realized that there wasn’t a giant bowl of creamy oatmeal awaiting me.  I mean that 60 seconds it takes quick oats to cook is a real inconvenience (…not).

So while I was on vacation I got an email from some beautiful people…specifically those beautiful people who work at Chobani.  They said to be expecting a case full of the new Chobani flavors on my doorstep.  Since I was precisely about 673 miles from my doorstep, I had a decision to make… 

Should I have one of my grandmas get the yogurt for me (both of my grandmas live on my street) or should I recruit a neighbor to bring in the yogurt.  Who to trust.  One of my grandmas ended up getting the yogurt for me but I spent the rest of vacation concerned.  Mainly because the grandma that took in the yogurt is the grandma who is tricky.  She’s the grandma who says things like, “No, I don’t want any muffin.”  And then she eats the entire top off your blueberry muffin before you even know what happened.  She’s sneaky that way.

But luckily I came home to my pretty chobani safe and sound.  And then I tasted the first one and had a major revelation because I thought everything was pretty okay in my life, but then I realized that Chobani has now taught me a thing or two about happiness by coming out with a coconut flavored greek yogurt…I mean, how did I survive without it!?  I don’t want to live in a world without coconut greek yogurt because that delicious coconut yogurt makes everything seem perfect.  Dramatic much?  You betcha.

Creamy Banana Coconut Popsicles

Ingredients:

2/3 cup vanilla Chobani greek yogurt

1/3 cup full fat coconut milk (allowed to thicken in the fridge overnight)

1 mashed banana

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

 

Directions:

1. In a bowl, whisk all ingredients together.

2. Divide mixture between 4 popsicle molds.

3. Place in freezer until firm (~6 hours).

4. Run under warm water or allow to thaw slightly before eating.

  1. Oh goodness, Chobani basically saves me with each of their flavors for every recipe I try. I jumped on board the healthy baking craze and was excited to realize how scrumptious any recipe could be with the addition or substitution of a recipe with their Greek yogurt. I love the tart flavor of plain a top my sweet potato or various flavors amidst my berry chocolate chip breakfast bread and a dollop in any smoothie. After experimenting with other yogurts and flavors, using Chobani is a breath of fresh air, like coming home and knowing you will get only the best flavor and texture – rich, creamy and comforting.

  3. Those continental breakfasts can be tricky, so I’m impressed with those skills. You should come to a hotel with me next time, and steer me away from those dang waffle irons…

  4. I have an awesome gluten free peanut butter bread recipe that has no added oil/butter or sugar, and it uses greek yogurt. It’s amazing.

  5. I love baking with Chobani! It ‘s a great substitute for butter or when you are trying to keep things low fat. The best thing I’ve ever made with Chobani is probably chocolate chip banana bread and I used the honey flavored Chobani. Divine!

  8. I love Chobani because their Greek yogurt tastes amazing and their company is always doing wonderful things for the community and sharing their Greek yogurt with othersz Nothing is better than a great company with a fabulous product! I love ALL of their flavors!

  9. I love Chobani because they opened a store in SoHo in NYC, and they have the nicest staff and tastiest creations there! My favorite is plain Chobani yogurt topped with agave, mint leaves, orange, and dark chocolate shavings.

  10. I love Chobani because of the great punch of protein it gives! The best thing I have made with Chobani would be PB cups and mixing cacao and pb2 and Chobani then freezing them (: yummm!

  11. Chobani is simply amazing because you can transform it into anything. Whether is be savory or sweet, Chobani is the most versatile Greek yogurt out there. The best thing I’ve ever made with French vanilla chobani yogurt is icing. Yes icing! I came up with this Christmas of 2011 and it’s so simple and goes amazing with chocolate cake. This was created because I didn’t have any icing in the house and needed to ice a chocolate cake for a Christmas party! You just mix yogurt and raspberry preserves until it turns a lavender color. Amazing! :)

  13. Chobani is perfect because it can be used in so much! I love adding it to cereal, making oatmeal parfaits, and using it in desserts. They have so many flavors which helps with the variety. I can’t wait to try the new ones!

  14. I was never a yogurt eater. Hated the texture. But when I started trying to change my diet and get fit everyone was talking abt chobani and Greek yogurt. I was like yuck…but I tried it and omg I’m hooked. I eat it everyday sometimes twice a day. I like plain with my own additions and I luv the flips. Ice gotten several other people in my life addicted to them now as well.

  15. Ah those look so yummy! Chobani is great in so many ways. Not only do they have some of the most creative and amazing flavors in the Greek yogurt market- they are super affordable and healthy for a college kid’s budget! The fact that they make all natural yogurt using real fruit and also manage to give 10% of their profits to charities worldwide just amazes me and makes me love the company even more. Chobani yogurt is also really fantastic in just about anything you can think of; oatmeal, smoothies, soups, enchiladas, guacamole, freezer pops! Haha, you just can’t beat it! And have you tried the new Chobani flips? Oh my goodness <3 So much love for the Choabni company for being genuine and caring to the community that they are nourishing :)

  17. Whoa!! That box ‘o Cho is definitely worth coming back from vacation for. Lucky you!! I absolutely love Chobani black cherry (first Greek yogurt I ever tried, and still my absolute favorite) but I’ve never not liked any of their flavors. And I love seeing all the ways they use social media (it’s the marketing nerd in me). My favorite thing to make with Greek yogurt is now, and probably always will be, BLACK BEAN BROWNIES!!! (of course…haha).

  19. I love chobani because of it’s beautiful velvety texture that makes it taste delicious in both sweet and savory dishes. Yum!

    The tastiest thing I ever made with Greek yogurt is your banana pudding breakfast. Ever since the first time I made it, it’s become a breakfast staple :).

  20. Hi! Personally, I can really say that chobani is my favorite brand of greek yogurt. It is the very first brand that I tried when I first tried greek yogurt, and although I vividly remember not being 100% on board with the whole sour and tart flavor of it, I slowly but surely grew fond of it and now I can honestly say that I go through more than a couple chobanis a day. It is a huge part of my daily foods and I incorporate it in everything. For example, this morning I had a vanilla chobani blended in my oats mixed with vanilla extract, a tablespoon of pb2 and sliced banana. Last night for dinner I made chicken pita pockets with homemade tzaziki! I used plain chobani and mixed a teaspoon of olive oil, diced cucumber, salt, pepper and spread it on top of my pita! It was to die for!!

    I’m not too creative with Chobani…I just love shoveling spoonfuls into my mouth. I guess I use it most often in parfaits or overnight oats. I love their yogurt because, a. the flavors are all delicious and, b. they don’t add funky ingredients!

  22. Chobani is just amazing, I couldn’t name a favorite recipe with it! I use the plain in so many different ways and always keep it in my fridge. I love how versatile it is. Sub for sour cream, adding to dishes, or even making a simple parfait with fresh fruit and granola…it does it all! Plus the huge variety of flavors is nice for changing things up a bit ;)

  23. First, I would like to start out by saying I love your blog! I have been actively following it for a few months now and even tried out some of your recipes that I plan to feature on my blog! So thank you so much for sharing your creative ways to making healthy delicious!
    Secondly, of course, I LOVE Chobani. Chobani was the first brand I used when I started eating greek yogurt. I started off small, buying the vanilla flavor and obviously became obsessed. Their flavors and packaging are so convenient for a busy student like myself who need a quick snack on the go. I am also an active fitness junkie, so Chobani greek yogurt is something I use to naturally fuel my body before a workout with overnight oats or a simple yogurt bowl with granola and peanut butter. The plain flavor has even extra protein which I love to eat after a workout with a smashed banana, melted peanut butter or any concoction I can think of!
    One of the best homemade recipes I have made with Chobani are black bean brownie cupcakes. I used their vanilla greek yogurt to give the cupcakes a nice moist flavor, while masking the black bean flavor. I also made an overnight chocolate breakfast pudding recipe using plain Chobani, that I ate as a pre workout meal.
    Both these recipes will soon be featured on my blog that I have just started posting!

  24. Oh my, where do I begin?? Chobani is basically a life saver when it comes to yogurt! If I ever have a bad day and I suddenly decide to go to the fridge and their is a new Chobani I jump and yell with joy and then I slowly devour the yummy goodness (with some sadness as the last bite is taken). I love to add the yogurt to overnight oats as well as eating it with some granola sprinkled on top followed by some fruit of sorts.
    Yay for Chobani!!

  25. Chobani/Greek yogurt is the jam (aka. the best). It is perfect with fruits, a little honey, cereal, cocoa powder… basically anything. It is what I like to call “a vehicle for putting any of the delicious flavors of the world into” (much like oatmeal, in my opinion).
    The most wonderful thing I have ever created with Greek yogurt is probably one of the more basic things you could make. But, I do a little Greek yogurt, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and melted banana, topped with some cereal or other crunchy good and a nutbutter. I think it is one of the tastiest breakfasts you could make, and it is really lacking in my life because I am currently living abroad, in a situation where I don’t have regular access to a kitchen and have yet to find all of the ingredients to make this tasty goodness. When I get back to the US in early August I plan on feasting on Greek yogurt.

  26. Oh wow, I wish I could make these popsicles right now. Summer always makes me crave all sorts of tropical fruits, and this sounds perfect on a hot night like tonight. I absolutely adore Chobani yogurt. I feel like there’s always a new flavor I haven’t tried, including their newer snack-size ones. I never feel guilty after eating them, even though I feel like I’m indulging. So perfect. Plus I always sub out plain greek yogurt for sour cream in recipes. Extra protein, less calories. Win, win!

    I love Chobani I can dip so many things in their yogurt! Dried figs, apples, berries, peaches, frozen bananas… Mix it with peanut butter and it is especially delicious :)

  35. I live near the chobani plant and one day after school was having one as a snack and had three kids tell me their parents work for chobani. Two work at the plant and one has a farm of dairy cows! It’s nice to know I am supporting my community when I eat a chobani!

  40. I love Chobani! Something that tastes so good really shouldn’t be good for you, but I love that it is! I can totally rationalize having it for a meal or a snack and feeling like I’m being “so healthy!”

  43. i didnt even like greek yogurt befdore they sold it with topping, chobani flips is the only one i can find i even like, but the almond choc coconut is the best!
