Cookie Dough Hearts for Valentine’s Day.

If you talked to my tastebuds, they would say, “hey we really like vanilla lattes and cookie dough.” And then if I talked to your tastebuds and they said the same, then we would be friends.  And that’s how you make friends.

This cookie dough recipe is delicious and based off that vegan cookie dough for one recipe I posted awhile ago.  I haven’t tried to bake this cookie dough, so if you are in the mood for something baked…try this oatmeal breakfast cookie.

One of my priorities in life is to be satisfied by my food.  I spent far too long restricting/bingeing/overexercising…and a lot of that was linked to not eating the food I was craving at the moment I was craving it.  I’m sorry, Tastebuds, for the pain I caused you when my eating was disordered.

This cookie dough has been a tasty snack to keep in the freezer when I’m in the mood for something sweet.  A couple of these hearts + a glass of milk is a super satisfying way to end the day.

Happy cookie dough eating:)

Cookie Dough Hearts for Valentine's Day.

Yield: makes 9, 1.5" hearts

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour
5 tbsp butter, softened
3 tbsp brown sugar, packed
3 tbsp maple syrup
1/4 tsp salt
chocolate chips galore

Directions:

In a bowl, combine all ingredients until a scrumptious cookie dough forms.  Press out dough on a floured surface and cut out some lovely hearts.  Store in the fridge or freezer.  I stored mine in the freezer.

  1. Is it bad that my husband and I buy the Tollhouse cookie dough and just eat it? We will probably die… but death from cookie dough is a great way to go!

  2. Just made these– excellent! And love the ‘chocolate chips galore’ :)

  3. Mmm I really like the idea of using maple syrup, these look so delicious

  6. Totally making this for my husband and I! My fav thing is cookie dough, and I enjoy it whenever I want now that I am listening to my body. I’m always looking for a good eggless recipe, and you nailed it. Thanks Kylie!

  7. Um…yes please! This sounds amazing. Cookie dough = life. Not that I’ve ever had any qualms about eating cookie dough with eggs (I guess you could say I like to live dangerously) but now I don’t have to! Thanks!

  8. This looks amazing. So easy! Who doesn’t love cookie dough?!

  9. Have you seen the popups about a cookie dough store in NYC or LA?  Just shaking my head as to why I didn’t think of this concept!!! EVERYONE loves cookie dough.  We just keep talking about when one will come to Nashville!!!
