4 Summer Treats

This post was sponsored by Annie’s Homegrown.

In the name of summer, today we’re talking about 4 summery treats to make before August ends.  I know summer goes past August, but by the time September gets here my mind is all, “PUMPKIN!”

So here are some treat ideas to make while we still want all the fruit.

First up, summer pineapple bowls.

For these you buy a pineapple and hollow out the middle.  Then fill with your favorite coconut sorbet and top with fresh fruit + Annie’s Bunny Fruit Snacks + Annie’s Lemon Drop Cookie Bites.  For my fruit I went with strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and kiwis.  I was gonna top the entire thing with sprinkles but it was so COLORFUL already.

Okay.  Next.

S’mores.  I realize yesterday was s’more day, but today can still be a yay s’mores day too.

For these I started with Annie’s Honey Grahams then added caramelized peaches, a white chocolate peanut butter cup, chocolate hazelnut spread and toasted marshmallow (duh.).  OhhhhemmmG.  Tell me you’re not s’more’d out from yesterday.  If you are, it’s okay because up next we’ve got…

Granola!  And not just any granola, it’s Cookie Graham Granola.

Make a batch of your favorite granola recipe.  I went with this one.  Then top with coconut flakes and Annie’s Bunny Grahams.  Perfect for topping breakfast smoothies.  Trust me, I know.

And last, we’ve got the best combination since chocolate and peanut butter…it’s chocolate and cheese.

This has been my go-to snack since high school.  Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies + dark chocolate + the sharpest white cheddar you can find.  Andrew doesn’t get the chocolate + cheese combo.  Haters gonna hate.  I for one think it’s the making of the very best trail mix.

So there you have it.  That’s all I’ve got.  Chip & Joanna Gaines are on Periscope right now and I think it’s the coolest thing ever (did you watch?)!

  1. What fun ideas! I especially like that last one. I have recently discovered the deliciousness of chocolate and cheese.

  2. Love the pineapple idea!! Chocolate and cheese?! I’m not sure I’m onboard with that combo!! :) haha

    • LOL:) You’d probably feel very unsure about a dip like this then haha–>http://blog.harryanddavid.com/2013/11-5-cheddar-chocolate-truffle-dip-recipe-sweet-author-jessica-merchant/

  3. These are all so creative! I have to admit I still haven’t tried the cheese and chocolate combo but I love them both separately so I can’t imagine I wouldn’t love them together.

  4. Love all these combos. Especially that 1st colorful one. I mean COLORFUL one!

  5. I am so in love with Annies I cant wait to try their new ideas for snacks!!
