Protein Cookie Dough for ONE!

Oh hello, cookie dough craving.

I have no doubt cookie dough was one of my first loves.

Soooo we’ve had a pretty relaxing weekend and i’ve been wearing the outfit the entire time.  The outfit is an outfit Andrew has started lovingly referring to as the outfit because I wear it so much.  Pretty much anytime I want to lounge around I put on the outfit.

When I get home from work I immediately put on the outfit.  When I want to take it easy on the weekend…the outfit is being hung out in.  If we’re going out to dinner and I don’t care how I look, but just want to be comfortable, I’m in the outfit.

It’s just these blue Banana Republic shorts I got years ago + a bright pink Express shirt.  The shorts are super worn (i.e. perfect) and the shirt is breezy and light (i.e. so comfy).  The only problem with the shirt is it’s bright pink color, which makes it hard to wear when I’m taking food pictures because it reflects in the picture…and you don’t want pink tinted pizza, ya know?

But do you have a super comfy go to outfit that you wear ALL THE TIME and would wear every second of every day if you wouldn’t be judged for wearing it 24/7?

Let’s move away from clothes to something I feel much more excited about…cookie dough.  When a cookie dough craving strikes, this is a delish recipe to try.  You could always just make normal cookie dough. But I was feeling something with a bit more protein. If you have eaten cookie dough until you feel sick <– that post is for you.

I broke into my husband’s protein powder stash in the name of creating a protein cookie dough.  I’ve done the bean-based cookie dough thing, while I like it, I didn’t want it on this day.  I wanted flour and chocolate chips and sprinkles (the brand in the pictures is dyed with vegetable juice).  So that is just what I did and here we are.  Make it this week.

Protein Cookie Dough for ONE

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons flour (I used whole wheat pastry flour)
1 tablespoon vanilla protein powder
2 teaspoons nut butter (I used Justin's)
1 tablespoon sweetener (granulated sugar or maple syrup)
1 tablespoon chocolate chips
2 teaspoons sprinkles
pinch salt
pinch baking soda
1-2 teaspoons milk

Directions:

Combine all ingredients, except milk.  If the cookie dough is too dry, add milk 1 teaspoon at a time until cookie dough reaches cookie dough consistency.  If you use a granulated sweetener instead of a liquid sweetener, you'll need more milk.

  3. I’m alllllll about single serve cookie dough–this sounds fantastic. Way better than eating chocolate chips straight out of the bag…

  4. I know this is the whole point of the recipe…but do you have a suggestion if I don’t have protein powder?
