Easy Sesame Garlic Salmon

I bring you pretty salmon! Just look at it!!!

We usually buy fish once a week and 98% of the time I think, “i’m gonna do something fun and different with this salmon” and then I get stuck in a recipe rut thinking what to do with it and end up going, “forget it, i’ll just pan sear it.”  But not this week! This week I actually made a recipe!

Also this week we started watching The OA on Netflix.  I REALLY like it so far.  We are 4 episodes in.  To me it seems less sci-fi-y and scary than Stranger Things, which I like.  Stranger Things gave me the hibbie jibbies fo sho.

So this recipe. It’s a super duper simple recipe.  And it has sesame oil, which means it’s going to be delish.  If I could make candles out of food I’d want a sesame oil candle…I LOVE how the stuff smells.  I also would like an oatmeal candle.  I always take a huge whiff of oats when I open the container. Gosh LOVE that smell too.

Just in case you were wondering my favorite smells…now you know.

And if you’re in the market for a new salmon recipe…here you go!

  1. Ah this looks so perfect & delicious! My bf doesn’t like salmon so I’ll have plenty of leftovers:) PS sesame oil is my jam too love love LOVE it, happy thursday!

  2. I love this recipe! We have sesame oil, and I don’t use it nearly enough. Also, Matt and I *loved* Stranger Things, and we too enjoyed the OA. I’ve never been a Sci-Fi fan, but apparently I was being close-minded. They were both thought-provoking, entertaining, and overall great shows!

  3. Always love playing up the salmon! Multiple times a week in our house!

  4. Looks delicious! What do you typically serve this with? Thanks!

  5. I love those smells, too, funnily enough. And I’ve been eating salmon on repeat, so I think I need to get some sesame oil and try this :)

  6. Just made this and LOVED it. Also put some of the sauce on brussel sprouts. They’re addicting. Also – I don’t know if Kodiak pancake brand sponsors you or anything, but I bought the mix because I saw it on your blog. Great recommendation!
