A day at Benihana!

This post is sponsored by Benihana.

Earlier this week the bump and I spent the morning at Benihana to try their Be The Chef Experience.

For the experience, you start with a one-on-one cooking session with a Benihana Chef, then you return for a fun dinner at Benihana where you impress your family and friends with all your new skills.

I met up with the Chef in the morning, and they decked me out in Benihana gear.

The Chef walked me through making some of Benihana’s signature items and let me try a couple of Benihana’s teppanyaki tricks.

First, the Chef showed me how to do it, then I tried it out… I could handle stacking an onion into a volcano.

Next, we made fried rice together.

After cooking, I sat down to a lunch of everything we made; I enjoyed the classic Benihana Specialty, Splash ‘N Meadow

I have a lot of childhood memories of going to Benihana, and it was fun to go back and get to train with the Chef, rather than just watching the Chef cook and perform.

If you’re interested in trying out the Be The Chef program, you can find more details here.  The package is $200 for four people (guest chef and three guests). The chef’s guests will enjoy Benihana soup, Benihana salad, shrimp appetizer, hibachi vegetables, Splash ‘N Meadow, homemade dipping sauces and Japanese hot green tea.  Yum.  The ginger dressing on their salad is still one of my favorite dressings ever!

Have a refreshing weekend, guys!
