Now that Halloween is over, it’s time to get ready for the best holidays.  But first, we must get rid of that small mountain of leftover Halloween candy you have stashed in your pantry, above your fridge or in your cabinets. 

The perfect way to rid yourself of leftover Halloween candy is pairing it with something salty because salty popcorn and sweet candy are totally made for each other.  So before cozying up on the couch for a movie night at home, whip up a batch of any of these Pop Secret Pre-Popped Popcorn pairings (yay alliteration).

Pairing #1: Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate Popcorn with Pop Secret Homestyle Pre-popped Popcorn.

Simply toss together leftover chocolate candy (Mini Hershey’s Bars^®, Hershey’s Kisses^® & Tootsie Rolls^®) with Pop Secret Homestyle Pre-Popped Popcorn.  Melt leftover caramels in the microwave and drizzle over the popcorn.  Let caramel cool slightly before eating.

Pairing #2: Coconut Surprise Popcorn with Pop Secret Salted Pre-popped Popcorn.

In a microwave safe bowl, melt unwrapped Almond Joys^®. Pour coconut-chocolate mixture over Pop Secret Salted Pre-popped Popcorn and use a large spoon to stir everything together.

Pairing #3: Ultimate Popcorn Balls with Pop Secret Kettle Corn Pre-popped Popcorn.

Pour Pop Secret Pre-popped Kettle Corn, raisins and M&M’s^® into a large bowl.   In a separate, microwave-safe bowl, melt caramels in a microwave until smooth.  Pour melted caramel over popcorn mixture and fold everything together.  Spread coated popcorn onto a baking sheet and allow it to cool slightly.

Of these three, the Almond Joy^® pairing was my favorite.  The melted chocolate and coconut gets into all the popcorn grooves and every once in awhile you get a crunchy almond.  Enjoy!
