Cookie explosion in 3…2…1

Lately my mind has been all like, “it’s a marshmallow world in the winter.” And while this shake doesn’t have marshmallows, it still seems like it would fit into a marshmallow world because it’s dreamy.  And I imagine a marshmallow world would be dreamy too.

And how many sentences can I start with ‘and’ before an english teacher calls me out?  I haven’t talked about how much I hate grammar in awhile.  Gah I hate grammar.  So many rules = room for zero creativity.  Boo grammar.  And now we move on.

Do you see my gold nail polish above? I’m in love with it more than I’ve ever been in love with any other nail polish.  Gold <3<3<3

For this shake, I soaked oatmeal in a Almond Breeze Almondmilk Cashewmilk Blend overnight (yes, the recipe takes a bit of thinking ahead, but if I can do it so can you).  Then, in the morning I added a frozen banana and a couple other things to make the drink taste rather cookie-like.  Yay for cookie-like things.

Then I made it even more cookie-like by, errmm, just adding a cookie garnish + cookie crumble.  If you are living right, you should have a plethora of Christmas cookies on your counter that are just begging to be used in this shake.  You can make the shake and then you’ll become known as the girl (or boy) who makes the very best oatmeal shakes.  What a title!!

I have nothing else to say until you make this shake.

Snickerdoodle Cookie Oatmeal Shake

Yield: serves 1 (easily doubled, tripled)

Total Time: 3 minutes (+ overnight soak time)

Ingredients:

2/3 cup Almond Breeze Almondmilk Cashewmilk Blend
1/3 cup oats
1 large frozen banana
1 tablespoon almond butter
1/2 tablespoon maple syrup
scant 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
small pinch baking soda (makes it take cookie-y!)
small pinch salt
garnish: snickerdoodle or ginger christmas cookies

Directions:

In a small jar, combine Almond Breeze Almondmilk Cashewmilk Blend and oats.  Place in the fridge overnight.  In the morning, blend together soaked oats mixture and remaining ingredients.  Add enough cashewmilk-almondmilk to get the blender spinning.  Garnish with cookies and cookie crumbs!
