Capsule Wardrobe for Fall 2023
I woke up at 2am because Leah was talking in her crib and I was hungry. So I’ve already eaten breakfast, killed a roach, planned my wardrobe for Fall 2023…and it’s only 5am. Here’s what I’m eyeing to add to my closet for Fall 2023 clothing, if you want to see:
Trench Coat in Light Khaki. Would love to throw this over a graphic tee and jeans with sneakers, all while harnessing some Elizabeth James shopping with Halle vibes.
HOU Hat. I am a proud Houstonian. I love this city and living here, so this seems a natural expression of that. And also, is there a better color than charcoal? I think not.
White & Black New Balance Sneakers. These look so classic to me. If anything, my style leans sporty, so I love me a sneaker. New Balance also usually works well for my relatively long and wide feet.
Black Jogger. I discovered Z-Supply in Laguna, so the brand always makes me feel happy and relaxed. I’d like a jogger, but not sure if this is the one. Do you have any recs? I’m picky about clothing texture and prefer light and stretchy, like jersey material. But then I do like that these look thicker than a jersey material…ahh I want it all. Comfort is paramount for my clothing. From a sensory perspective, the vintage black color (vs. them being solid black) may bug me.
Longer Pair of Not Your Daughter’s Jeans. My mother-in-law turned me on to this brand and I really like their jeans, as they are *extremely* comfortable. I have one pair now, but they hit at a funny place on my ankle, so I’d like a slightly longer and lighter colored pair.
A Graphic Tee. I love Morgan Wallen songs…plus, this one would make Andrew laugh, which is always worth it.
Collared, Half Zip in Light Taupe. Love how these look.
Everyday Pullover in Oatmeal (or maybe in green). Would be a solid staple I can see myself wearing a lot.

Have you tried Vuori joggers? I’ve had mine for a couple years now and they’ve held up really well!
Andrew has some and they do seem great!!
I am so here for the wardrobe content!! I often find myself dressing similar to how I did in high school/college (I’m 32 now) and I’m really trying to update some of my go to outfits. I also love sporty styles!
