Food we ate, Chapter 43.

My Fall 2023 products will be launching here on November 1st!! The final shirt came in and it’s even better than I imagined. I wanted to make a graphic tshirt and I LOVE it. It’s Comfort Colors and I love the “pepper” color.

The best thing I ate this week was this Asian noodle dish. And, it’s edible art! I mean, how beautiful! I love it because I don’t need a recipe to make it. The sauce components added are just: sesame oil, soy sauce and this chile garlic crisp.

Here are the udon noodles I’m loving lately.

I’ve decided this is the last picture I’m going to share of Leah. Babies always feel like an extension of me for some time, but she’s becoming her own person more and more and I have to cut myself off from sharing her face at some point <3

For snacks, fruit + cheese stick is always a mainstay.

Had a banana before bed one night.

Another snack was some chewy pumpkin snickerdoodle cookies + milk.

Keeping with the pumpkin theme – pumpkin bread for breakfast.

Cereal for dinner one night when I didn’t want to think about cooking because I was excited about something and in a daydreaming state of mind.

As far as eating out, one day I went to Cava for lunch and decided I’m over Cava. Didn’t enjoy this much but nothing else really sounded good either and I just needed some fuel to fuel me through the next couple hours.

I took my inner artist on one morning pages + coffee date at the best place, Tenfold. I was telling Andrew I don’t feel like I fit in much at this place because I don’t have a beard or wear high socks over my ankles with tennis shoes lol…but I kid…I love it here.

We went out for lunch after church, which sometimes turns into a dumpster fire and it ACTUALLY WAS NICE. Andrew and I kept looking at each other and saying, “wtf this is actually going well.” I had smashed avocado toast flatbread and it came out presented like a pizza…it was good!

Leftovers that got better and better as they sat.

We also took a brief hiatus from Asian dishes with fish tacos. These tacos come together pretty quickly: frozen fish sticks + slaw + finishing sauce + wine my parents had left for us at some point.

Lately I’ve been making the girls separate dinners. They have no interest in our Asian food obsession.

One night we had leftover howsweeteats chili.

A lunch at home was fried rice. We only had frozen brown rice and I actually liked it better with brown rice.

I made some chocolate croissants I found at Whole Foods. Andrew ate two, Maggie ate one lol, the girls shared one and then they were gone…so I have no idea if they were any good hah.

And that was our week! Into our weekend we go!
