Food we ate, Chapter 13.
Here’s a glimpse at some meals & snacks we ate this week.
One night I made a Vietnamese-esque slaw and paired it with rotisserie chicken that was coated in the below Japanese BBQ sauce + noodles.
For lunches I’ve still been doing a lot of turkey + swiss sandwiches with chips/fruit/vegetables & blue cheese dressing.
One tasty snack was vanilla yogurt + fruit + walnut + mint.
These drop biscuits were awesome. I’ll for sure make them again. We served them with roasted chickpeas and Caesar salad.
I went back for seconds.
I’ve been snacking on Easter candy. Yum.
I like the seasonal Reese’s the best because you know they’re fresh and not going to taste like old chocolate.
A dinner of risotto, fish sticks and broccolini. Chicken nuggets + fries in the background for kids.
Breakfasts have still been eggs + cheese toast + lattes. I’m in such a hyperfixation moment with this meal. Soon it’ll be replaced with something else, since that’s how it always goes for me.
We had dinner with my in-laws. Enchiladas for me.
…and I ended up getting the below margarita because another table ordered it and it look so refreshing! But it turned out to be so spicy! I couldn’t even drink half of it.
When I got home that night I felt really depleted and needed more food, so I made a croissant with nutella spread on it.
Today I made an acai bowl with almond butter that hit the spot.
I came home tonight to Andrew having cooked chicken + tortellini + onions.
I’m up late typing this post because I was feeling *so* nauseous that I couldn’t sleep, but then I realized I took one of my meds without food and that always makes me nauseous. After a bowl of cereal + milk I’m feeling much better. For a minute there I thought I was coming down with a stomach bug (the bane of my existence), but no!
Happy Easter!
