Food we ate, Chapter 12.

We’re moved into our new house! I’m so glad we moved. We should’ve done this years ago. Adequate space for a family of 5 has been amazing and we’ve only been here for a hot second.

Here’s some food from the past week:

Gingerale on the flight home from Laguna. The best plane drink IMO.

MOD Pizza for a weekend lunch with the family.

The last meal I cooked in our old house was congee with soft boiled eggs. Turned out just okay. I need to work on my congee, but I think it could be a good upset stomach meal – nice and simple.

I have been running through the Starbucks a ton this past week. This drink was amazing – grande shaken oatmeal espresso with 1 pump white mocha, 1 pump brown sugar and only 2 shots espresso instead of the typical 3. Tasted like a Nature Valley bar, was awesome (and I’ve had it 3 more times since this photo was taken hah!). Do you have a go-to Starbucks order you love?

Yogurt snack.

Chocolate croissant snack + aforementioned shaken espresso. This was one day at lunch time when I couldn’t stomach anything else because of the stress of the move + disrupted schedules with the kids. Was at my wits end.

That night I was so exhausted beyond exhausted from multiple trips back and forth from old house to new house with all kids in tow and was donnnnneeeee. I dropped the kids with Andrew once I made it to the old house (this was before we moved) and told him buhbye and went and found me a chicken quesadilla. Ate it in silence and was what I needed. Was at that cellular level exhaustion place, which is the worst. I got home, took a Unisom and went straight to bed.

The next day I felt better. Ordered a poke bowl for lunch from Uber Eats. I tell you, Uber Eats is the best self care you can get somedays when baby is napping and you can’t leave the house. It’s at least a little care and I’ll take it.

This has been my go-to snack lately – nutella toast.

One night the girls were craving fro-yo, so I called it dinner for myself and them. Made sense and worked. The house was mostly cleaned out and would’ve been a pain to try to scrounge up something.

A Chick-fil-A salad.

Peanut butter m&ms while running errands.

BBQ was our first meal at the new house. I love BBQ restaurant salad with blue cheese dressing – the best.

Plus delish rolls.

BBQ leftovers the next day.

Today for lunch I had an acai bowl from Juiceland and it was awesome. It had buckwheat groats on top and I’ve always been a fan of the texture of those.
