Food we ate, Chapter 18.

This week flew by, as a week post-trip always does.

Nearly every breakfast this week was overnight oats + a latte. One morning I even ate it while relaxing in a bath – amazing. We used to have to be out of the house by 7am, but now the girls and me don’t have to be heading out until after 8am. It’s been a great change.

One night we had a future Kindergarteners event for Ella, me and the big girls swung by tex-mex afterwards – chips + queso for me. Andrew came to the event, but then ended up having to leave early with Leah because she was running amuck. She has exploded developmentally this week – has been so fun to see! So many new words and tasks.

I ate many turkey sandwiches for lunches.

Yogurt parfait snack.

One day for lunch I had a protein shake in the car, and then a bowl of cereal with the below two cereals mixed – so good.

I found these yogurt bites at Costco and I weirdly love them. I usually don’t love yogurt covered things, but these taste great to me. A couple packs of those + a beef stick made for a great snack.

Been ending most meals with something sweet to end the meal.

Also made some almond bars that were tasty for snacks and paired great with an afternoon latte.

We had taco bowls for dinner a couple nights – ground chicken mixed with taco seasoning, cottage cheese, rice, vegetables, Mexican sauce – yum.

Last night for dinner I kept it basic with a salad with sesame oil dressing, goat cheese, oranges, carrots, and edamame. Plus, Chex Mix for some side carbs.

Hope you have a good Saturday!

  1. Hi Kylie ! It would be a great favor if you answer me 🙇‍♀️. I’m in weight restoration period in anorexia. How do I deal with having to eat less once the weight is restored ? I can’t afford any professional help and I’m recovering through self help and gradually increasing calories intake . But I fear that this privilege to eat a lot of yummy food will go away once the weight is restored and I have to eat only to maintain my weight

    • Once weight restored, eating should be in response to hunger, fullness and cravings, so you won’t be eating more or less…just the amount to meet those needs. Have you read Intuitive Eating? I’d recommend that as a resource once weight restored. There are three steps to eating disorder recovery:

      Phase 1: Nutrition rehabilitation
Intuitive eating is contra-indicated. Client has a broken satiety meter that says they are full when hungry and vice versa This phase involves education and a meal plan for weight restoration/stabilization and a normalization of one’s eating pattern. (Length of time: 1-3 months)

Phase 2: Identifying, normalizing and responding to satiety cues (Length of time: 2 months – 2 years)

      Phase 3: Intuitive Eating
Support client in intuitive eating. Shift focus off weight and to health promoting behaviors. (Length of time: 2 months – 1 year)

      Wishing you all the best<3

      • I’m immensely thankful towards you for helping me 🙏. I’ve read intuitive eating book and mindfull eating but I lost unnecessary weight because of it .I’ll keep your advice in mind and practice intuitive eating after weight restoration and normalizing my hunger – fullness cues . Once again , thanks a lot ❤️
